The telecommunications market has been growing rapidly for many years. Landline telephones are losing popularity and are being replaced by mobile phones. It is popular to combine telecommunication services – telephone, Internet, television – on the basis of a single subscription with the chosen operator. The use of a Polish SIM card requires registration, i.e. providing the subscriber’s personal data (name, surname, PESEL number, and in the case of foreigners: name, series and number of the identity card (EU citizens and Swiss citizens) or passport number or residence permit (other foreigners). A card without registration will not work.
