Students with a disability certificate (or equivalent) are entitled to a special grant, the amount of which depends on the degree of disability. Doctoral students with disabilities also receive additional benefits.
Universities also have units dedicated to helping disabled students (and others with special needs) with their studies. These units have different names and places in the university structure. They offer different forms of support depending on the type of disability (very often they can issue a document allowing the adaptation of the teaching process, which is honoured by the teachers. It is possible to obtain, among other things, adaptations in the form of examinations, teaching materials, etc.). Many of these units also offer the possibility of renting equipment to support the teaching process (such as enlargers, scanners, tablets with specialised software), consultations with a psychologist or a vocational counsellor. Detailed information can be obtained directly from the university.
