Scholarships and grants

The Polish higher education system provides for the possibility of obtaining various scholarships (e.g. social scholarships, rector’s scholarships, minister’s scholarships). Social scholarships and student loans are available to foreigners who meet the conditions established by law. On the other hand, other scholarships may be granted to foreigners under the same conditions as for Polish citizens (e.g. a sufficiently high grade point average in the case of the Rector’s Scholarship).

Foreigners can also take advantage of a wide range of scholarships for foreigners (e.g. Polish Government Scholarships, Visegrad Fund Scholarships). Poland also has a special institution dealing with the mobility of students and scientists – both Poles and foreigners (the National Agency for Academic Exchange, NAWA).
