Aid to Poles in the East Foundation

The main purpose of the Foundation is to provide assistance and support to the Polish community and Poles and people of Polish descent living around the world, especially in the East. Compatriots Community Association

The community is focused on the goal of helping compatriots in the East. It works to commemorate places connected with the fate of Poles, especially places of deportation, burial, and execution. It aims to promote and support cultural, educational and sports activities. It seeks to build and strengthen the national identity of the descendants of the Polish exiles. The Community wants to cultivate the memory and spread knowledge about the deportations and the victims of the repressions among the Polish citizens. Union of Repatriates of the Republic of Poland

Registered in 2006, it works for the repatriation of Poles from the East; conducts educational, charitable and publishing activities; initiates research on the fate of Polish deportees; collects memorabilia and documents. Active organisation.

Polish Community Association

A non-governmental organisation whose goal is to strengthen ties with Poland for people of Polish origin and Poles living abroad. It was established in February 1990 on the initiative of the President of the Senate, Prof. Andrzej Stelmachowski. The Polish Community has branches in more than a dozen major Polish cities. It also runs several houses of the Polish Diaspora, including those in Krakow and Pultusk. Its main goals are to inspire, support and conduct comprehensive cooperation of the Polish community and Poles abroad with their homeland in such areas as education, science, culture, religion, economy, tourism and sports; to promote, support and conduct teaching of the Polish language and maintaining its knowledge among the Polish community and Poles living abroad; to disseminate in Polish communities knowledge of Polish culture and contemporary phenomena in the social, economic and political life of the country; to deepen knowledge of Poland and emigration in Poland; to act on behalf of the Polish cultural heritage abroad and to defend the rights of the Polish national minority. Rodak Educational and Recreational Centre

Its mission is to provide comprehensive support to repatriates in the process of adapting to new living conditions in Poland. Through dedicated work and mutual commitment, Środa Wielkopolska can become a centre for the life interests for many compatriots from Eastern countries. The Centre organises Polish language and history courses, cultural activities, vocational training for returnees, assistance in finding housing, employment and health care. Active organisation.

[Polish Migration Forum]

The Foundation was established in 2007 to promote the rights of foreigners in Poland. It is registered in the National Court Register under the number 0000272075 and has the status of a non-profit organisation. Its mission is to support the integration of people who migrate to Poland, so that it becomes a second home for them. PFM works for the integration of foreigners and Poles living abroad, and initiates and supports activities that lead to dialogue between people of different cultures. Active organisation.

Ocalenie Foundation

Active since 2000, Ocalenie supports migrants and migrant women in their integration and personal development. It works for intercultural dialogue and the strengthening of civil society. It strives to ensure that every person can live with dignity and respect for their rights. It runs a Help Centre for Foreigners in Warsaw and Lomza. Other Space Foundation

Established in 2006. It operates the Info-Migrator platform. It is a comprehensive and multilingual online platform that helps foreigners planning to stay in Poland to understand the legal and formal issues related to their stay. The platform provides practical tips for dealing with official matters and everyday life in several Polish cities: Warsaw, Poznan, Lublin, Krakow, Wroclaw, Kielce, Tricity, Lodz, and Szczecin. MultiOcalenie Foundation

It was established in 2013 to support foreign women in dealing with Polish institutions, health care, schools and those in difficult personal situations. The Foundation offers Polish language courses for foreign women and organises cultural and integration meetings. It has a lawyer, a psychologist, a career counsellor and a cultural mediator. It also provides integration and development activities for children in its daycare centre. Active organisation.

Armenia

Union of Poles in Armenia – the organisation was founded in 1995 by a group of enterprising Poles living in Armenia. Its main goal is to unite Poles and people of Polish origin in Armenia who wish to deepen their knowledge of the history, culture and religion of their ancestors, as well as to become better acquainted with their historical homeland, its modern culture, life, traditions and customs. Active organisation.

The Foundation of Culture and Heritage of Polish Armenians was established on April 7, 2006 by decree of the Ordinary of the Armenian Rite Catholic Church in Poland, Cardinal Jozef Glemp, Primate of Poland. The objects of interest of the Foundation are Armenian artefacts related to Poles of Armenian origin, such as prints, manuscripts, photographs, liturgical vestments, liturgical vessels, paintings, equipment and memorabilia. The Foundation is involved in their preservation and registration, and also carries out the process of digitisation of photographs and documents. It also identifies old photographs and collects new ones, both for deposit and as donations.

Social organisations promoting Polish culture and history in Georgia

The Union of Poles in Georgia was founded in 1995 and has about 800 members. It conducts cultural and charitable activities: Polish language courses, exhibitions of Polish paintings, concerts of Polish and Georgian music, and competitions for young people. The association works for the integration of Poles into Georgian society and for the promotion of Poland in Georgia. It also organises cultural, sports and educational events and assists Poles in Georgia in their everyday life, especially in formal legal and linguistic matters. Active organisation.

The Queen Jadwiga Polish School in Tbilisi is a Polish educational institution operating in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. The school is named after Saint Queen Jadwiga, who was Queen of Poland in the 14th century and is one of the most important figures in Polish history. The aim of the school is to provide Polish children living in Tbilisi with an opportunity to study in Polish according to the Polish curriculum. The Turkmen Polonia Centre is an institution working in Turkmenistan to bring together Poles living in the country and to promote Polish culture, history and traditions. In Uzbekistan there are a number of organisations and social associations that promote Polish culture, history and language through, among other things, teaching Polish, preparing young people for university studies, restoring cultural traditions and providing material assistance. Here are the most important ones:

Polish Culture Centre in Uzbekistan “Swietlica Polska” – one of its main tasks is to maintain interest and love for the culture, history, language and national traditions of the “historical homeland”. It is a bridge between two shores – Uzbek and Polish. It is worth mentioning that since its establishment, the Polish Cultural Centre in Uzbekistan has been one of the most brilliant, original and dynamic cultural centres. Even in 2022 its activities were still visible, so it seems that the organisation is active.

The “Polska Klasa” Association in Tashkent is the largest Polish educational organisation in Tashkent, whose main goals are to teach the Polish language to members of the Polish community, primarily young people; to prepare young people for university, secondary school and technical schools in Poland; to help repatriates prepare for return to their historical homeland; and to spread the popularity of the Polish language and culture in Uzbekistan. Polish Institute in Kyiv – its main goal is to carry out the message of Polish public diplomacy, that is, first of all, to take care of the good name of Poland and its impeccable image, and to maintain contact with foreign partners in the fields of culture, education, science and social life. Union of Poles in Ukraine – in October 1991, the Polish Cultural and Educational Association in Ukraine, active since July 5, 1988, was transformed into an independent Union of Poles in Ukraine. The purpose of the Union is the national revival of Poles, the awakening and cultivation of national consciousness, work for the social and cultural development of Ukrainian citizens of Polish origin, popularisation of the common destiny of Polish and Ukrainian peoples, promotion of the study of Polish language, culture and history, and the popularisation of achievements of Poles in Ukraine in all spheres of social life. Union of Poles in Ukraine – Adam Mickiewicz Branch in Odesa – a Polish community organisation based in Odesa, Ukraine. The Union was established to integrate and represent the Polish community living in this region of Ukraine. Its goal is to maintain ties between Poles living in Ukraine and Poland, to promote Polish culture, language and history, and to support the Polish minority in Ukraine. Active organisation.

Association of Polish Culture in Kharkiv – was founded in 1991 as a social non-governmental organisation. The Association is engaged in teaching the language, history, traditions and culture of the Polish people, publishing a newspaper in Polish, programs and publications about the life and work of Poles connected with Kharkiv, cooperation with churches and social organisations in Ukraine, Poland and other European cities, and taking care of the graves of Poles in Kharkiv.
